2017 Nissan Murano: Changes, Engine, Price, Release

Nissan’s Murano, originally launched in 2002 has been a popular and successful mid-size crossover. The SUV has gone through three generations in its timeline till date. The introductory model was manufactured from 2002 to 2007, while its second generation model was sold from 2007 through 2014. The third generation Murano was launched in 2015 and the carmaker are already planning to start production of the updated 2017 Nissan Murano very soon.

The dashboard comes with an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment display console that has features like Nissan Connect, Pandora apps, advanced navigation, active cruise control settings, SiriusXM satellite and internet radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity, rear view camera and blind spot monitor feed, terrain assist and hill descent drive settings and an integrated media player.

Below the console is a host of ports including USB, AUX and a smartphone docks. A very handy feature of the center console is the extended tray through the middle. A pair of insulating cup holders and a large closed compartment sits on the tray.

Powertrain setup configurations for 2017 Nissan Murano include a 3.5 litre V6 engine that generates up to 260 HP and 243 lb./ft. of torque, and a second option for a hybrid 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine paired to a 15 kW electric  motor that gives a combined total of 250 HP. Both these options will come with a 6 speed CVT transmission gearbox.
