For the past few years, Infiniti has been working really hard in order to improve the quality of the cars that they mean to set on public roads. As of now, their reforms have really brought a lot of sweet fruits, and it seems to be continuing to do so in the near future. Because of this reason, buyers are finding Infinite vehicles to be trustworthy and reliable enough to be bought. The car manufacturer is aiming to bring out the updated 2018 Infiniti QX30.
2018 Infiniti QX30: Platform and Styling Changes
One of the governing features behind the success of this 2018 version of Infiniti QX30 is its platform. The crossover has been equipped with the popular GLA Class platform from Mercedes-Benz which will give this crossover a very big push upwards, once it hits the market. This move makes it difficult for rivals equipped with same features, to cope up with it.
The touch of Mercedes-Benz in platform provision has not affected the looks of 2018 Infiniti QX30. This new vehicle will be coming with the signature grille design seen in Infiniti cars, making it different from all others. The designing also includes swelled up sheet metal which makes it stand apart from its rivals, 2-Series and A3. This four door vehicle will look good with its big 19-inch wheels. It has got a smooth hump towards the rear end which makes the design attractive. Lights come powered by LED technology. These new lights not only deliver better visibility but also have an aesthetic angle to provide.
Interior is quite attractive and has a feel that is of extremely premium quality. Even the materials are classy. No one would expect to find these exotic leather materials used in the interior designing of 2018 Infiniti QX30 even in Mercedes cars. Seats are quite good for short journeys but can become stiff on journeys that are too long.
This vehicle will also have the best of the car tech stuffs to boast about. A touch screen panel takes care of all that as it stores the infotainment system inside it. This infotainment system comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi and USB ports.
Engine and Fuel Economy
Because of pending heavy competition, Infiniti has not yet disclosed the details of engine of 2018 QX30. But speculations speak of a probable 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged unit with 7-speed dual clutch transmission powering AWD. Expect 210 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque from this engine. The 2018 Infiniti QX30 will probably offer around 20 mpg on an average.
There are a lot of cars currently being sold out under the banner of hatchbacks. Thus, it is natural for any new entrant to face huge competition. The first hurdle which new 2018 version of Infiniti QX30 has to cross is to become acceptable to buyers. Upon successfully crossing that, it will be locking horns with the likes of BMW 2-Series and Audi A3. All these cars are tested products and will be giving the crossover a very hard time.
Price and Release Date
The 2018 Infiniti QX30 will be priced at around $32,000. The car manufacturer hasn’t said anything yet, but the release date should be in early 2017.
